Privacy and terms
Last updated October 2026.
The short version
- Your diary stays on your phone. HushLah has no accounts and no server that stores your entries.
- Your recordings, photos and videos are never uploaded. They are saved in your browser on your device.
- No tracking and no ads. We don't use analytics, advertising cookies or trackers.
- Your neighbour is never told anything by HushLah.
What is stored, and where
Incidents you log, your address and the unit you name, and your settings are saved in your browser's storage on this device. Files you add are saved in your browser's file storage on this device. None of it is sent to us or anyone else.
Because everything lives on your device, clearing your browser data, uninstalling the browser or changing phones deletes it. Use Download evidence pack in the app regularly to keep a backup.
Microphone and camera
HushLah only uses your microphone when you tap Record audio, and your camera only when you tap Take photo or Record video. Recordings stay on your device.
Services the site loads
The site is hosted by Vercel. Fonts load from Google Fonts and a zip library loads from cdnjs. Like any website, these services see standard request details such as your IP address. They never receive your diary or files.
Recording your neighbours
Record only from inside your own home, and don't film into anyone's flat or post their details online. Use your evidence only for resolving the dispute, such as with the Community Mediation Centre, the Community Relations Unit or the Community Disputes Resolution Tribunals.
Terms of use
- HushLah is free and provided as is. It gives general information, not legal advice. Rules and procedures can change, so check with the agency concerned before you act.
- You are responsible for what you log and share, and for making sure it is true and accurate.
- If someone is in danger, call 999. If you are struggling, the Samaritans of Singapore are available on 1767.
